there is a duel meaning to the name 'matthew's place'  first, it comes from a story in the bible where Jesus went into the home of the tax-collector named matthew and shared a meal with him and his friends, much to the disapproval of the religious establishment of the day who considered matthew and his friends 'riffraff'. secondly, matthew happens to be the name of one of the kids in the neighborhood whom we've developed a relationship with.

strategy will emerge in the process of community.  each member brings a gift mix to the group that carries its own God-initiated and God-given authority and purpose that supports the vision.  we will respect one another’s gifts and place in the group.  strategies will change and shift on this journey as we grow together, as goals are reached and as we evaluate their effectiveness along the way
